Actuator Specification & Safety Features

Maximum load in push 6000N.
Maximum load in pull 4000N (protects the actuator).
End stop limit switches – stops actuator at end of stroke, both inwards and outwards.
Spindle function (not on 200mm stroke) – actuator is only able to push, should an obstruction, i.e. arm get behind the mechanism then only the weight of the patient will be on the arm. The spindle dis-engages from the motor drive.
Safety nut push – this is a secondary nut behind the main one. Its purpose is to sit behind the main nut and should the main nut fail then the safety nut will stop the actuator collapsing. The actuator will function but only to lower the load.
Duty cycle – the actuator system has a 10% duty cycle. This means it can run 2 min continuously at max load and then rest for 18 min. The actuators are tested using this configuration for 10000 cycles.

Control Box Specification & Safety Features

Approval – the CB09 basic control box is medically approved to EN60601-1.
A.S. – Electronic Arc Suppression – this protects the relays to give extended life.
P. Protection – this is the protection against dust and water ingress. The CB09 & LA31 are protected to IP54, which is protected against dust limits ingress, protected against water sprayed from all directions. Limited ingress permitted

Foam Specification

All combustible modified foams are formulated to meet the Furniture and Furnishings (fire safety regulations 1988).

Weight Testing

We certify that the Avalon electric table has been tested to the follow weights:
- Foot end – 95 Kilos/210 lbs
- Head end – 95 Kilos/210 lbs
- Middle section – 159 Kilos/350 lbs
- Tested to – 191 Kilos/420 lbs
Recommended safe working load – 159 Kilos/350 lbs

Warranty

Avalon offers customers a three year warranty on the metal framework against defects in workmanship or materials.
Electric motors carry a three year guarantee.
Under the terms of the warranty wear and tear of cushions is not covered.
